Galway-Donegal-Galway

Uncle, Saji chets, Merry Chech and I 'wanted to' wake up as early as possible on Friday.. This was to start our weekend trip to Donegal. Lazy bums that we all are, ended up getting up around 8:30-9ish.. Had our breakfast and wished for the rains to stop, we all waited.. Finally sis and I were looking at the places we should be visiting on this trip.. If there was any place on the way worth seeing, these are some things we were looking for on the net Also looking for possible B&B we should look at..
Used Google Maps for directions.. :)

Finally we kept to the IST, started at 1pm.. :P

There were also talks about how about leaving post lunch.. But then we knew it would be tough to get moving..

1st stop was Knock Shrine at County Mayo.. Attended part of the stations of the cross that was going on in the church then.. We then carried on, stopped at places to stretch or click pics… Sis and I sat in the back seat.. We were the official navigators during the trip (Many a times missing the turns we needed to take :D)..

I also made sure that all the marble cake, cookies, chips and juice were properly stored in my tummy.. :P Marble cake was yummy..!!

Finally around 7pm, reached a B&B at Ballyshannon.. Pretty place..

All of us were really hungry.. Went to a restaurant called Golden Dragon.. Food was really good.. Couldn’t move post dinner.. Went back and crashed.. Next day (Saturday), woke up to have some Irish breakfast.. Was quite heavy.. Then started off towards Donegal and then Slieve League.. Checked out a few beaches on the way.. Was good fun to get back to the childish ways of collecting shells and my sis educated me about some of the sea weeds that we saw which were washed on to the shore. Drive through the country side was nice.. Saw many farm lands with sheep and cows.. The kutty ones looked really cute.. But its always in the plate that we usually see them.. :)
Slieve League is supposedly one of the highest Sea Cliff in Europe, din't really look all that high to me.. Stopped at few spots to click pics.. Kept eating right through the trip – muffins, chocolate cookies, sausages.. Was all so nice.. :P

And now back home.. Will compile the pics and post em soon.

Nirmal, the trips that we do and the stops we take for clicking pics, here its nice everywhere.. It's so good that we would hardly be moving cos every other place looks so pretty and we'd be stopping for pics..
Also the rain gods were kind not to shower their blessings and so was a nice, warm and sunny day..

My first Easter outside South India.. :)
